Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a used 2000 Ford Mustang in September when I bought it they said the shift
cable was wrong. I have only drove it a couple times but a few months ago I took it out
and it started to jerk. Next day drove it it jerked only once, so i took it out again next
day and it done fine no jerking. Well I haven't drove it since but a couple days ago I
went to drive it it goes in reverse fine but when i put it in drive it wont go, when it finally
kicks in it jerks really hard. What could be wrong????
