This motor is a interference engine,if it jumped it has damaged the head and valves on the engine if you have fire and fuel, check the compression on engine and it will confirm that you have engine damage.

The 2000 Ford Mustang V-6 3.8 to be exact doesn't use a timing belt. The 3.8 engine is an iron block camshaft in block push rod engine that uses a timing chain. Is this a USA model or is it from another country?

Upon rereading your post you have both timing chain and timing belt listed. The 3.8 appears to be an interference engine, but if the timing only jumped a tooth or two it may be okay. Running a compression test will tell you for sure.
