Any tips on how to remove rust specks (that scrape off) near the wheel well?

Asked by Mazda2014 May 03, 2016 at 03:39 PM about the 2014 Mazda MAZDA3 GS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My White 2014 Mazda 3 has several tiny rust specks on the lower doors and
around the wheel well. When lightly scraping with my finger nail, the rust
comes off with no paint damage at all. It seems like they are all just on the
surface with no actual damage to the car.

Does anyone else have this or knows how to clean the specks up? Thanks!

Try applying a coat of car wax & buff. If the rust stops you're all set otherwise the paint may start to go. Good Luck

Use some polishing compound followed by wax.
