The first car I ever ordered from a dealership was a decked out 1978 Pontiac Trans AM. It had every option in the book except for the T-tops. White with a red interior it looked great sitting in my driveway, but it was the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned. I kept it about a year and got rid of it. Transmission problems, rear end noisy, a/c problems, etc, etc.

But, has anyone heard of the front end being referred to as firebird eyes, talons, or being modeled after the batmobile?

Thank all of you for your help! Talked to PHS they said it was never referred to as anything!

Never heard of any name associated with the front of a 2nd generation F'bird and I have been around Pontiacs for over 50 years. Sorry, I don't think any moniker exists except in some individual's eyes.
