2016 subaru Crosstrek

Asked by Divermars25 Jul 06, 2018 at 02:05 PM about the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have s solid check engine light and a flashing
cruise control indicator. This started out of nowhere.
I read in one of the response that oil spill can be the
corprit... I went to add some oil about 3 weeks ago
and the cap fell below and I was working so I
couldn’t get under the car to get it from where it fell
so when I got home I reached for it and put it on to
find that the engine has been bathed in oil so from
the pressure and no cap. Do you think this can be
causing my issue?

1 Answer

I would replace the oil cap, top off the oil if necessary and see what happens. If you can post the trouble code(s) we could help more.
