I dove my Chevy Cruze up a hill in l1 a little ways
onto a flat in the rpm’s went past 6 a little ways in
the red will that hurt my engine?

no. pretty much any car (if not every car) you get that isnt decades old is gonna have a limiter. the limiter prevents you going over the redline and hurting your engine.
