2000 K 2500 bogs down

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 2000 K 2500 Chevy seems to have no power
and bogs down like crazy after I let it sit for short
periods of time when it is already been driven and
warmed up. I have replaced pretty much everything
on the engine That Could have something to do
with that power problem and nothing has worked.
Does anyone out there have this same problem or
no how to fix it I have tried everything.

I have changed all plugs and wires and did not correct the problem. Mass air flow sensor has been replaced. I'm not sure what IAC or the PCV valve are if you could explain further

which engine is it? The PVC will be in the valve cover with a vacuum tube attached to it running back to intake. See if its clogged if so spray throttle body cleaner in it and hose and put back on. The IAC may be called Something else on your motor like throttle position sensor but is the sensor that controls the Idle but the CPU is designed to have its information to control the other functions. I will know more if I know which motor you have.

The engine is a 7.4 liter 454 Vortec. I have not checked those two things you have suggested maybe that is a good place to go at this time. This problem only occurs after the engine is warm and then shut off and six for 5 to 10 minutes. When I start the engine everything works fine but as soon as I start driving there's no power the engine bogs down but after a minute or two all power is restored and run smoothly. This happens every time I drive it.

Repair book can show you how to test those sensors before spending money to replace. There is so many things that could cause it too bog. If no codes are shown, may have to test to find it, and or wait until it is failed completely then a code will show, now if its cats or something you would not want to wait until they clog all the way. I remember one time a Chevy blazer would run fine but once a week it would not start after hot for months until it cooled down about an hour later and the rest of the time it was fine, Then it happen every time it got hot and I starter searching why and it ended up being a pick up module located In the distributor under the rotor I had to remove all the small parts to get to it but it fixed it.
