Driving and truck just died

Asked by Darrin Mar 27, 2020 at 07:39 PM about the 2000 Ford Ranger XL Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck has power , changed plugs & coil packs , has fuel
does turn over , has spark but wont start. Tried starter fluid
and it didnt start , I'm at a loss

could be the fuse/relay/could be a crank sensor/12 volts/bad grounds.......

I did replace the crank sensor and went through al L the fuses and they where all good , even tripped the bumper sensor and still nothing

I will have to go through the grounds and make sure they are all good

If you have spark and fuel but it still won't run it's time to do a compression test. If all cylinders test very low or zero it's jumped timing! Hope that helps! Jim
