Sudden Acceleration when braking

Has anyone experienced sudden acceleration problems when braking? It has happened to me at least 4 times recently. Once I barely touched the brakes when leaving a gas station and the engine started racing. I held down the brake and threw it into neutral and watched the tach go up to 5000 rpm before dropping back down to a normal 800 rpm.

I was just in an accident today due to this. My hand break didn't work and I slammed into a tree. Please report this becuase this shouldnt happen and don't want this to happen to someone else

it sounds like you hve either a bad brake booster or the one way check valve in the main vacuum line coming out of the booster is bad
