Cranks but wont start

I have a 1984 chevy g20 I've already
replaced a water pump and battery
terminal but last week I noticed that
when I would put it into drive or starting
it it was stalled unless I pump the gas to
keep it going and but after that it would
be fine until I stopped it and started it
again but two days ago while I was
driving down the highway it's died it
would crank but wouldn't turn over then
after trying so many times eventually my
battery gave out I had it jumped it works
fine got to my house did a few errands
next day fine then later on at night it is
the same thing it just died I got to start
again after a few tries and then it died
again within minutes now I can't get to
start to get it all what could be the issue
any suggestions please I'm tired of
paying for a tow

If the fuel pump is on the motor it could be rotted fuel lines , look above the rear axle and see ,

It ended up being the fuel pump we switch from a mechanical pump to electric but now we’re having issues again. I swear this van is going to give me grey hairs.

2 wks ago my van stalled while driving an wouldn’t start back up well after i did some investigating i discovered fuel dripping from the carb. I figured out that something was keeping the valve open most likely some rust from the line i then read somewhere sometimes you can hit it with a hammer an it will dislodge it. Luckily that worked but 3 days later It wouldn’t starry again but this time there is no fuel leaking but it’s definitely not getting fuel. It sounds just like as if it was out of gas. Any thoughts on what it could be?
