Blown fuse or bad relay? Bad blower motor? Bad panel switch? Wiring with age of vehicle?

The blower works. It is the mode button that will not change the vent from off the front to any other vent or the defrost. The motor does sound off sometimes but plenty of air does move just not where I want it to.

I read something about the "actuator for the vent position" or the vent door actuator. Could that be it?

Yeah, same as what I said in my post. Makers call it different things like a blend door actuator

Thanks everyone, I am going to go with that and see if I can't get the parts. This forum has been very helpful.

It does sound like this actuator. Nissans are notorious for this part on all their models. Also, if you didn't notice...I am the only one who has responded to you on all these posts. :)

Good luck on installing this. You have several on your SUV. One is somewhat accessible but the others are behind the dash. One is on passenger side close to transmission hump up under a little.

Thanks, for the advice. I did not think there could be more than one. I am not sure I will be able to do it myself. But I will look into it. Thanks for all your help.
