Hi, most often means the Clutch Plates or Packs are worn, But if it's only doing it say from 3rd to 4th while driving it could be in the Valve body or a solenoid sticking. Depends, heat and like towing take a toll on Automatics, maybe 12 or so years ago I took my Lexus to the Dealer with 40k miles to change the Fluid and they said oh you don't need to change the fluid and filter until 75 or 85,000 miles, What, Well sure by then New trans, Plus I learned They Flush Change, Take the 2 lines off the radiator and Pump in New fluid until the other line spits out Bright Clean, Ruins the Trans. If I were you, UNLESS you really know a Trans Expert, Find a Certified Low Miles Trans from a Wreck and swap them or have them swapped, Everyone I know who went to the Trans rebuilder had problems a year or 2 for $2k Down the Road. This is just from my having dealt with Automatic's for years. See what model trans, might be interchangeable with some Nissan models, Can look on a Factory Tag or Dealer can use the VIN. Read about what others have done with the same model and the Out Come, Google, YouTube
