Whole lotta guessin' goin' on here- why do you care where the fuel filter is if you have a bad fuel pump? Is it a truck? is it a Nissan? is it an Infiniti? The world holds its breath

Infinity and my fuel pump is new...this is from bad gasoline

Diagnose this via a fuel pressure check. If pressure OK at engine, then pump & filter are OK. If really bad gas, then some injectors maybe plugged or not-functioning, but engine should attempt to start. If you get any start, then get rid of the bad gas, add double dose of injector cleaner and try to get injectors clean. Unless pump is totally bad, you should be able to start the vehicle, but it may not be able to pull any power. Had this same problem with a GM TBI, same issue.
