1996 Chevy K 1500 won't go into $X$

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello folks, I have a 1996 Chevrolet Cheyenne and I can't get the shifter in the floor to budge.  I bought this truck and it only had 28K on it and it is immaculate.  This truck hasn't been driven very much at all and it appears that the 4X4 is stuck and won't go into gear.  Anyone have any suggestions that I could try?  Thanks for your help

Manual shift transfer cases can take a lot of muscle to shift sometimes. I would try moving the truck a few feet and try again.
