Where does the front axle vent hose on a 1996 Chevy Silverado K1500 with 5.7L vortec connect to

Yes I noticed a rubber hose coming up underneath the upper radiator hose and
followed it and it went to the front axle and it appears its the vent hose but its
not connected to anything on the other end. Would anybody know what it
connects to ?

It doesn't,Hence why its called a VENT tube,just mount it as high as you can away from anything.
