protruding part that sits flush with the
crankshaft and there's a scratch on the
crankshaft itself what is it what do I do and
how do I fix it I would post more pictures but
for some reason they only seem to let me
post1 but I also had I've never had any issues

Harmonic balancer has a key-way, only one way to mount it. I don't know if somebody tried to make timing marks? Note the ignition timing info. good luck

just to add, as long as distributor hasn't been moved. You should be good to go.
