96 chevy k1500 silverado 5.7 liter

I have a 96 chevy K1500 with the 5.7 liter engine
and the reverse gear stopped working and I am
wondering what transmission is in it and would a
transmission out of a 96 chevy k1500 with the 5.0
liter engine work? Also what is the factory
horsepower on my 5.7 liter motor?

I put a transmission from a 87 Scottsdale in mine and it was cheap and easy
