Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1995 350 5.7 tbi it’s knocking from the
bottom end and motor hasn’t been turned on for
about 6 months. I have a friend who’s giving me his
1996 5.7 vortec motor for free. I have a cam on my
motor and i want to know if i can swap my
camshaft, timing chain, heads, intake manifold, and
carburetor to the 350 vortec

Yes you can. The only difference with the Vortec motor is the cylinder heads and the fuel injection. So if you want to run your current setup on the Vortec you can.
