Silverado 94 I connected all wires and hoes in the

now when it's dyes it do doesn't want to turn on I
have to put starter fluid in the carburetor and it'll
run but yesterday and today i did the same thing
and I have trouble starting it .it started and I have
to be stepping on the gas so it wouldn't turn off
some people have told me it was the distributor or

pressure to but I want to get a second opinion oh
really be glad if you would help me thank you

Spraying starting fluid down the TBI and it starts then is an indication of a fuel issue. It would be good idea to check the fuel pressure, it should be 9 to 13 lbs. If it is not you want to pinch (block off) the fuel return line to see if the pressure rises. If it does then the problem may be the fuel regulator in the TBI. It would be best then to have it rebuilt with new injectors also. It is fairly easy to do.

To make sure the fuel pump is running just turn the key to the on position and listen for the fuel pump to run. It should. Otherwise do as tennisshoes says with the relay.

You can rent a fuel pressure gauge from the parts store, it needs to have the fittings to hook up to the line running to the TBI & into the TBI. Your checking on the pressure line. Cycle the key on, or turn the truck on and observe the pressure reading on the gauge. Should be 9 to 13 lbs. Turn the key off and watch and see it the fuel pressure drops.
