Help identify & possible fix asap?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a leak in this area, idk what it is.. (unfortunately) and it's
under the distributor cap, like right under it. Was there a hose there
or just a bypass cap of some sort? Please help. Pictures should
help..

This is my friends truck, he didn't quite explain what it's exactly called..

The leak is coolant for sure. Hard to tell from the photo's, but maybe the thermostat housing or maybe a heater hose.
