I have a 89 Chevy k 1500 with 305 in it I can
drive my truck until it like gets warm then
while going down the road it dies I pull over
put in park try and crank again it will crank but
it dies as soon as it cranks I can let it sit for
abt an hour or two then go back and drive it
to my destination can anyone help me out

How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Your obd 1, you should be able to check some codes, yourself, if your check engine lamp/mil still works? There may not be any codes? I'd check to see if engine over-fueling? Over-fueling on a hot engine can kill it and make for a hard restart. After it sits awhile, the extra gas evaporates. Check your coolant temp sensor. Don't replace anything unless your testing points in that direction. Just my opinion.
