My parking brake light flashes 8 times n
then stays lit for some seconds on the
ninth blink

I have had the same issue. I have been resetting the black brake module by unplugging it but it always comes back. Did you ever resolve your issue? Thanks.

The reason why the light blinks I've come to find out today is if you have done any work on Your gauges While the truck was on, but not running, it will cause a small malfunction where you should disconnect the negative battery terminal on your battery and then reconnect it Get back in your truck and turn it on Not all the way, just so, the electronics come on, and the flashing should stop.
