is there a safety shut down process for the engine when oil pressure drops?

oil pressure warning light on, engine stalls. is there a oil pressure loss shut off?

As far as I know , there is no shut off. If you put oil back up to full on oil stick and try to start it and it doesn't start or turn the engine it is toast or seized up or the bearings are ruined. Which control your oil pressure.
