As far as I know , there is no shut off. If you put oil back up to full on oil stick and try to start it and it doesn't start or turn the engine it is toast or seized up or the bearings are ruined. Which control your oil pressure.

Hi I have a 2001 hydyia elantra, it's manual and today I've had to replace the batter. my main concern is when I was driving my car it made a little noise then my car just stop moveing. the engine was still running and was fine but the car would just rev up and did not move does this mean the whole clutch is bad or maybe the clutch plate?? I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with 65,000 miles and i just recently found out i need a front right wheel bearing and I have 2 evap leaks. (2 codes came up). i used a can from autozone that has a guage on it to recharge my ac. with ac on max and fan on high pressue is in the green and at proper psi. when system is off pressure rises to red is this normal?
