2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid Died Twice In 2 Months While Driving 55+ mph
Hello,
My wife has a 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 55,000 miles. A month ago whe
was driving 70mph on a turnpike and the screens inside all went black and
the car popped up a message saying to 'pull over'. She did so with no power
streeting whatsoever. She parked, called me, and I had her try and restart
the car and it came back to life. No engine lights or messages appeared
after the incident.
Then again today she was driving around 55mph (over a month later with no
issues) and once again the car died while driving and told her to pull over .
This time she said the screens didn't go black though. She lost power
steeling again though and a message briefly came up after all of the warning
lights came on saying "Service Transmission" but it was up for seconds and
not even long enough for her to take a picture before it cleared.
The car was purchased at CarMax and I have MaxCare so I'm trying to
determine if this is an issue anyone's going to be able to diagnosis since no
lights have stayed on. If it's extremely complicated will take it to Ford but if
not will take it to CarMax. Is this a common Fusion issue or one anyone has
heard of? Any thoughts on what it might be?
