Question type: Maintenance & Repair
For the second time I rotated and balanced all tires. For the second time, a day
after all the warning lights come on and the indication is a bad speed sensor.
FIrst time it was the right rear speed sensor, so I replaced it. This time the
indication is the left rear speed sensor. Question is can rotating the tires cause
the malfunction? IF so how and do I really need to replace the sensor?

No, rotating the tires is just that. Unless your tires are mismatched and the tread depth vary greatly from tire to tire. If that is the case then you need new tires before trying to diagnosis wheel speed sensor problems. The age of your vehicle is well withing the right failure times of the wheel speed sensors.
Thanks. New tires all around. Guess it was just a coincidence. Just seemed strange that there were no issues until the tire rotation.
Things are nuts, I had my TPMS warning come on right after a tire rotate, rechecked the pressures and they were fine, ran a reset and the light went out, though ok good, next time I started driving then light came back on, so I ran the checks and it said the right front had no signal, so I replaced it, done the reset and all was fine. 1 week later the light came on again, ran the checks and the other three had no signal, so I had to replace the others. Sometimes it is just a time thing.
