My clock went out on my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Ultimate

Asked by Gerisink Aug 20, 2019 at 06:29 AM about the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultimate AWD

Question type: General

My clock went out on my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Ultimate.  I tried to
reset but could not so took it to dealership and they worked on it for 45
minutes and said my whole screen radio etc needed to be replaced and
orderd anew one.  On the way home I pushed the button that said map and
a sims card popped out so I removed and re-inserted and my system
rebooted and clock started working correctly.  My question is just because I
got it working should I trust it as (I fixed it) not experienced mechanic who
say I need a new may system?

I know Kia has an issue with this due to satellite issue, since both are from same manufacturer, they probably use the same satellite. Call Hyundai and see if it's the same issue.

you need to take out the SD memory card and click on setup, systems, and reset the settings to the factory default. Wait 10 minutes and then put back the SD card into the slot and the system will restart and the clock should work.

I took my vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and they could not do this. They spent 45 minutes doing nothing and when I left they were ordering a whole new screen and system to put in my car. I did pull SD memory card and got it started but have not cancelled the screen. I want to make sure that it doesn't stop working in a few days. Blows my mind that two Hyundai certified mechanics could not figure this out, I wonder if I should even let them touch anything in my car.

The people are at the dealership they are useless and have no clue about any GPS or screen technology. They are only good at taking peoples money. Here in Canada when I asked the guy who works at Hyundai dearlership about the GPS. He had no dam idea what to say about the updates nor gave dam answer. They only know how to change oil or telling your car need this service to get the money.

AssyrianEmpire, nope , don't work.. :-( I've tried them all , no success ! Still hopeful tho
