So unfortunately a rattling noise has started happening consistently in my 2016
Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo ... it only has 21,300 miles, so it still has factory
warranty. It's coming from inside the dash, maybe around the steering column,
but it's annoying and no longer a quiet ride. Anyone know what it could be or
is this common? Sounds like something is loose ... never done it in 2 years.

I would take it back to the dealership while its under warranty. Sounds like the dash will need to be removed to know for sure.

I know this is an old thread, but I have located this pesky rattle. I swore it was something inside the dash. Many people think sunglasses and for some that is probably it, but if you have checked all of the things obvious and not so obvious, I have tracked the noise down. It is the plastic cover behind the rear view mirror attached to the windshield! Hope this helps anyone else looking for answers!
