Every couple of days we have to jump vehicle. 2000 Ford Taurus

Asked by Rex Nov 20, 2015 at 04:01 PM about the 2000 Ford Taurus LX

Question type: General

About once a week, we have to jump vehicle, usually after it has been driven
40 or so miles. I have noticed lights will dim at night when decelerating but this
is also intermittent. Have had battery and charging system checked and test
fine. Connections at terminals are fine. Any suggestions ?

Even thoe you had alternator checked,i think it may be not charging at certain points and would show good when checked, the llights getting dim some times as you said, shows alternator not putting out right then, all so check your battery cables to be good.
