When I start my car, and put it in drive or reverse, I have to use a lot of break or the car will go much too quick.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Also, when first starting I can let the
car just 'roll' with no gas or breaks
and the car will maintain its speed
pretty good.

Check your transmission fluid. When they get low, they tend to lunge forward. Remember that auto transmissions have to be checked with the fluid hot and the engine running when you pull out the stick. If you check it like your oil, you will always get a false reading.
