Is the fuel tank pressure sensor in or on the tank

No. The sensor is attached to the fuel rail, and that is on the engine, under the covers. Recommend a professional handle this repair.

What problem are you having ? Let us know before you buy an alternator because the car doesn't fire up

Sorry, but it's located on the fuel pump assembly on top of the gas tank. Jim
