Kia Niro question - if the car is left unused for say one month, is this a problem for the Hybrid Battery in the Kia Niro?

No, because there is a button in lower left of dash labeled "12 Volt Batt Reset". It holds reserve power to start the car if the Hybrid battery has discharged for any reason.

Thanks. Can't find this button. My Niro is a left hand drive. This might make a difference??
The 12 V Batt Reset button is right next to the gas filler door button.

Sorry -I have looked everywhere for the button (12 V battery reset). It is not beside the gas filler button on my model -would it be somewhere else>?
I don't know where else it would be. Best thing to do is call the nearest Kia Dealer, or the Kia help-line, and ask.
I did not left my niro unused for more that 10 days. Still, the 12V battery stopped working and we have to take the car to the dealer. They raplaced the 12V battery and after 4 days, same problem. One week later, the mechanic is still running tests to determine were the problem is. If you encounter same problem I will appreciate suggestions.
Happend to me aswell multiple times,it seems the 12 v auxchillery battery is not up to the job. It's a design issue. Kia needs to do a recall and put stronger batteries in. Not going to dealers every time. Plug -- Kia niro 2 - 2017
Didn’t realize my lights were left on for three days. Car died. Took it to Kia, they tried to tell me it was because of my car starter that I had never used. They wanted to take it out at a price on 400 dollars. Told me I would also be responsible for all repairs. No..to removing the car starter. My lights were left on. Coincidence, I don’t think so. Have had the car for 5 months , 1000 miles. They have had the car for a week and still no answers. I am so disappointed, because I really love this car,
MY niro just did this today, I just found out my fob had a key within to open the door when it is dead. I pushed reset and it started but it had only been 2days since I drove it. This seems.like a manufactures problem. I will be keeping close eye on it.
we have a 2018 niro phev since march 2018... love the car but now at six months we are experiencing a daily drain on the 12v battery (drops down to under 6v over night). this is bad because if the dashboard can't power up then you can't drive the car. so far my quick fix is to attach a 12v battery charger to the 12v battery in the rear, this lets the dash power on, then I can start the car and switch to hybrid to fire the engine. just takes a few minutes, but still pretty annoying to have to do this every morning.. the dealer wants to keep the car overnight and has no loaner to keep us whole... going to start pulling fuses i think to see which circuit is the culprit.

Hi- could this simply be a faulty battery? This sometimes happens. - Tamura
My Kia Niro 2018 that i bought 2 months ago stop starting today. i have a check Hybrid- system message. Is this model really reliable? Kia needs a better job, I even noticed bad quality of the carpet on this model. That was disappointing!
I have left my Niro undriven couple of times for 3+ months. No problems when tried to use it again.
