WHAT CAUSES ENGINE TO MISFIRE AND HEAVY WHITISH BROWN SMOKE WITH BURNING SMELL OUT OF EXHAUST PIPE

Asked by michy2017 Dec 08, 2016 at 11:25 AM about the 2000 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 ford Taurus and I started it up this morning heavy whitish brownish smoke billowed from exhaust pipe and engine is misfiring. I have antifreeze in the overflow bottle and car has not run hot, but oil level is really low

1 Answer

Check the coolant to see if oil is in it but you probably have a bad head gasket.
