Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2000 Ford Taurus SE 3.0, I
ran a series of tests with the
multimeter to which battery,
starter and solenoid, relay, fuses
and still when I turn the key on
and put it into start position it
does not turn over. Does anyone
know if there is a sensor or a
switch or something that is telling
my car to not turn over and by the
way I already replace the neutral
safety switch. This has had to
have happened to somebody else
with a Ford Taurus it's driving me
crazy I need 6 in this car run
please help

batt is charged and the terminals are tight ? is the relay getting power , is the starter getting power ?

Yes brand new battery brand new cables and starter has been checked and shows that is good it is receiving voltage. Now if the starter was receiving its voltage and Power wouldn't a person assume that the relay is receiving power and working fine? I did replace the relay but it was not the problem so I put my other one back in and took down and back to the store and returned it could it be my ignition??? Switch???

if the starter solenoid is getting power then there should be a click when you hit the key , so either the starter's no good or the engine is seized,
Does they key have a good chip
My anti theft was stopping my car from starting. The key would turn but no start. I had my mechanic put in a push button start which was an idea I got from you tube video. That was 5 dollar fix back in September and no problem since. Now I turn the key to unlock then push button to start.
I has happened to me as we speak. I turn the key and nothing. All lights come on and i tested the starter and still nothing.
What was your solution? The starter?
