If my 2001 Isuzu rodeo is out of transmission fluid can I drive to get some

I watched the videos on how to add
transmission fluid to my 2001 Isuzu rodeo
They say drive it around to warm it up to add
fluid it's already has all the signs that there's
no fluid I don't want to drive it till I add some
its jerking forward gears are slipping and the
huge stain on the driveway after I moved it
after it sat for couple months so please tell
me how to  just add some transmission fluid
with out having to driving it around first

It's not as easy as most with a dip stick.You need to go under,the transmission will have 2 drain plugs,one on the bottom of the pan and one towards the top. the top one is were you need to add,you will need some type of a pump to push the fluid in. I recommend you have it towed to a shop.

Is it ok to add it without driving it to heat it up
