Are Porsche Macan 2016 / 2017 reliable vehicles?

Asked by Luvautos Mar 25, 2018 at 04:05 PM about the 2017 Porsche Macan AWD

Question type: General

I currently have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. I was considering
trading in for a 2016 Audi A6 3.0 premium plus....... however do really like
having an SUV but would prefer something with more power and zip. I really
like the Macan, have not test driven one yet. I would like to know how they
stack up in reliability and in general compared to Grand Cherokee or the Audi
aside from more expenses what can I expect to gain from it? Then within the
Macan line is the base worth it or if one is going down the Porsche route then
do you really need to get into the S or GTS to be worth while?

I would pick a Porsche over an Audi. I don't know which would be more unreliable - the Jeep or the Audi.

Thank you for answering, much appreciated. Have two Jeeps, never had an issue with being reliable, though both under 55k miles. Had a 2005 Audi convertible , from 2006 - 2008 there was an issue with break light always turning on ...I think it was a fuse issue or something. Other than that no problems. On the Macan, any major differences between the AWD, S, or GTS? BTW, I would take to a mechanic...not DIY

I have 2017 Macan S. no reliability problems. The smoothness, steering, handling, and ride are far superior to Audi. But then, it costs more.
