2017 Lincoln Navigator.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a tapping noise coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle
generally after bringing the vehicle to a stop and the RPM's come to a resting
idle the tapping noise kicks in.. placing the vehicle into parking gear used to
stop the noise, of course the tapping sound would come back as soon as the
vehicle was placed back into gear, then stop when removing the brake and
accelerating -  now, even in park you can hear the tapping sound. It is not a
consistent cadence i.e., tap, tap tap, but, rather an irregular tap, i.e.,
taptaptap tap tap  tatap, etc.. this occurred after replacement of the drivers
side turbo last July... no one has been able to figure it out - however,
passenger side turbo was just replaced (thought that might be the issue)...
nope.. tapping sound continues.. not on acceleration, only when coming to a
stop. I feel like it is not an engine issue, but a loose something issue.. all
mechanics have told me that the vehicle throughout is tight as a drum.
Driving me crazy... Any ides?
