CAN SOMEONE TELL IF A TRANSMISSION WILL WORK OUT OF A 98 RODEO WILL FIT IN MY 2000 ISUZU TROOPER

Did you ever find anything out on this?? I'm trying to figure out the same just on an 01 trooper

In short, No it won’t work. I tried it on my 2000 trooper. The 98 has a rectangular electrical plug on drivers side and the 2000 has a round plug. The electronics on the 2000 and up are different and changing wiring to round style connector won’t correspond with the old transmission electronics or PCM. Sorry. Found this out the hard way myself after installing without looking at connectors 1st. I just assumed. The rebuild kit and torque converter were $350 combined on ebay. Not hard to build. Buy the rebuild manual for $24 and have at it. I’ve never built an automatic transmission before, and I have to say it didn’t suck to do. Good luck!
