What can I do with the rough shift from 1st to 2nd on my 2017 6.3L Sierra
1500? Are there others having this issue and what can you do to smooth the
transmission from 1 to 2nd gear?

Just doing a quick Google search I came up with a ton of forums and blogs discussing this same issue. I only read a few threads but GM doesn't seem to have a fix just yet. I would take it to the dealership anyway so they can confirm the problem and possibly offer a fix down the road.

TDolby - no, this only happens when I'm idling out of my driveway and give it a small amount of acceleration. So when the RPM's are low and it's shifting from 1st to 2nd it clunks. Checked my fluid and it's at level and doesn't have a burnt smell either.
