recommendation use a relay wire a relay to engage when dome lights come on because your running board lights may demand to much power that the wiring for dome lights can support use a relay and separate battery power supply

seperate battery i mean run power wire from battery to terminal 30 on relay and running lights to 87 ground running lights to frame of vehicle. cut yellow w/ light blue strip one side to 85 other side to 86 . dome light on 85-86 engage relay power flows from 30 to 87 to lights ... 87a cap it off
