Asked by GuruTWMGT Jun 18, 2018 at 11:13 PM about the 2017 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD

Question type: General

I am 15 and live in PA, have to be 16 to drive but just want
help a bit. I am thinking about going to a auction and get a
wrecked but rebuildable 2017 or 2015 Ford Mustang GT
and could possibly be an eco boost but would have a
rebuilt salvage title, how much would my insurance be if I
had no speeding tickets and no wrecks?

Every company is different but expect to pay ALOT for being a new, young driver with a sports car. Most insurance companies won't give you your first real drop in price until you're 25 AND hold a full license with a clean record but you should call around and gets quotes. Do yourself a favor and hold on to the Mustang dream as a future endeavor, get a few years of experience first with something else and keep your record clean. It won't be as hard of a hit as the car itself will be cheaper, your insurance company will be more forgiving and you'll have more experience with all the costs incurred in vehicle ownership

Get a quote on the internet if you can at your age. Buying a wrecked car is the WORST way I can think of to get into a Mustang. Look for a clean, low mile older car with a V6.
