If it can be turned off the instructions will be in your owners manual - that book in the glove box!

Nice answer, although useless - as anyone with a brain would go to the manual first. Their procedure doesn't work. It's not going off no matter how many times I've followed the manual's directions. Called my local Toyota dealer but they have not returned my call. I dislike the PCS and absolutely don't want it taking over my driving.

The correct and appropriate answer is to read the instructions. Maybe you should have someone else read them and try it since you can't do it. 99% of people posting questions here do not read the manual and you did not indicate that you had read it. Find another dealer!

It's the pre collision system. Never mind, I'm signing off this site. Seems people don't want to help - just make nasty comments.

My apologies for those folks who are having such a bad day. Try this....reach down under the DASH at the base of the the Steering Cloumn. Feel over to the left....driver side..... for a recessed button. Press it once and see if any lights come on at the Dash.. Get back with result.

9j..did you ever resolve the issue with this vehicle?

I competely understand what he was saying. I turn the blasted PCS off and vehicle is still trying to break for me while driving on I95! Hate this feature. Apparently you have to drive like a 100 yr old to want such a feature on a vehicle! I would not recommend the new highlander for this very reason!

Yes, PCS should be disabled. If you look at the manual, you will find over 20 points listed there which says when PCS can engage and it shouldn't. I had a new 2018 camry and actually traded it in for a 2017 camry without pcs. Technology is not the answer for everything, especially when it still needs to be debugged. I was fighting my car and fighting accidents at the same time. Unfortunately everytime you turn pcs off, it comes back on again the next time your turn on your car......

Very....very interesting. Thanks for the heads up and this valued input. Makes one wonder and ponder...WHO...is really in charge of driving these vehicles today?
