1997 Isuzu Hombre won't stay running.

Asked by Chess Jul 01, 2020 at 07:33 PM about the 1997 Isuzu Hombre 2 Dr XS Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys, I have a 97 Isuzu Hombre (S10) 2.2L 5 Speed
It started having issues with randomly stalling while driving
or idling maybe 1 time a month.

Now it will start once then die after about 40 seconds. And
not start again for a few minutes but it will not stay
running.

My scanner doesnt show any codes.

Recently have changed Fuel Pump/Filter, has a new starter,
and a new Crank position sensor.

Any ideas of what it could be or what to try to diagnose it?

Any help is appreciated.

Try unplugging the mass air flow sensor. If that does change anything, other than a maf code, then try the idle/air mixture valve. If u unplug the i/a it may run rough but not die.
