Keys Locked in Keyless Entry

Question type: General

My keyless entry doors locked with keys inside. I put my purse in on passenger side, as I do most of the time, and immediately walked to drivers side to get in. Door was locked. Walked back to passenger side and that door too was locked. I have had this car for nearly 3 years and have never had this to happen. My husband had to bring spare key to unlock door. What could have caused door to lock?

Yes, it's just never happened before and this is my usual routine for 21/2 years. I have now however, learned to always keep key with me. Others be aware because this could have been a very dangerous situation if there had been a baby, disabled person, or pet-anything that might not be able to unlock the door, stuck in a hot car. Thanks for your opinion.
