The combination of interior and exterior color play a large role in the car's rarity and value as does the engine (S52 vs S54 the latter being more desirable). At 175K miles, $4K doesn't sound out of bounds depending on the condition but I think there's a reason for such a low price. Have a BMW specialist or dealer look at the car before purchase.Personally, I would be ready to spend more money after purchase. Check out http://www.mroadsterbuyersguide.com/listings. He aggregates all the M roadsters for sale on the web and has great resources to learn more. Is it the coupe? If it's the coupe BUY IT NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Bob
