P0122 / P1122 DTC Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Asked by Kristine Jan 21, 2019 at 09:29 AM about the 2005 Chevrolet Optra 5 LS Hatchback FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This may not be completely relevant to original post, but DTC P0122
haunted me for months on my Canadian 2005 Chev Optra5 (sister car is
Suzuki Reno / Forenza in USA), I would switch out sensors, the code would
go out for a bit, then come back, I decided to get the transmission fluid
changed at a reputable transmission garage, the mechanic said I also had a
P1122 code. Anyway, since the tranny fluid was replaced the check engine
light has stayed off, been 2 weeks. Worth doing anyway.

Yes these cars are pieces of shit mannn. My buddy had one and there was constantly problems with the clutch, oil pump, and gaskets being ruined by 150k and it just keeps going. Any mile over 150k is a ticking time bomb.
