Wont shift correctly

My Chevrolet Citation isnt shifting correctly and I
just need some possibilities.

If that checks out ok, check your ignition timing. Late transmission shifting can be a symptom of a worn timing chain. Especially if the engine is running hot, boils over when you shut it off, and lacks power. If the ignition timing is retarded (late) that definitely points to a worn timing chain. Hope that helps!
