My When travelling about about 40MPH my 2017 Rogue appeard to brake. To hazard a guess maybe the front brakes. Did not come to a complete stop just slowed consideably. Scary. Whal happened and why?

Mine just did the same thing! 2018 Nissan Rogue. Only had it 2 months.

Maybe it has autonomous brake system, most new cars come with this system nowadays

Exact same thing happened to my brand new 2018 Rogue that is still under 1600 miles. It has happened 3 times all while traveling under 40 mph and this last time knocked the air out of me. I want nothing to do with the car anymore and suspect Nissan knows many people are experiencing this same issue.

I'll also add that when the car suddenly applied the emergency brakes, there were no cars in front of me or to the side of me. It happened for no reason at all.

Experienced same just today. My 2017 Rogue SV suddenly stopped briskly, alarm bells went off. No cars or objects in front of me. Was going about 35mph. A bit concerned. What if on the freeway at high speed? Franklin.

My friend's new Nissan Rogue did the same thing twice. The dealership wasn't interested in fixing the problem. Gave her a loaner for two days and sent her home with a vehicle that wasn't fixed. So it happened the second time. Who do we contact beside the company? Now, she is afraid to drive her brand new car.
