Jeep Overland Air Vent issues

Hi.  I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and had the head on low.  All of a
sudden, the front and rear defrost kicked on high and the AC button was lit.  I
could not turn it up, down or off.  What would cause this?

HVAC computer fault, interior temperature sensor going out, voltage surge or drop out, power and or grounding issues, after all it is a Chrysler product.
