Hyundai Tucson Pros and Cons?

Asked by GuruSFQJZ Jun 18, 2019 at 05:39 AM about the 2017 Hyundai Tucson 1.6T Eco AWD

Question type: General

Hi all,

So I’m looking to buy a new car and at the top of my list is a 2016 - 2018
Tucson (i can’t afford brand new). I just wanted to ask how everyone likes
the Tucson? I read there is an issue with it “lurching” in stop and go traffic.
Are there any other issues with the car I should know about before buying?

2016 Hyundai Tucson: we just had the engine replaced in this car. Thankfully it was still under warranty. It took 3 months for Hyundai to provide a new engine. They paid 100% of the cost for a rental car from Enterprise. The car just died while we driving. Grateful no one was injured. Obviously, there is a problem with the manufacture of this car. Even though we carefully checked reviews from several sources about this model nothing came up about the many engine failures. We feel Hyundai has been negligent about the safety of driving this vehicle. Buyer beware.
