2017 Tahoe transfer case drops into neutral

Asked by PapaLapa Mar 12, 2020 at 11:06 PM about the 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2017 Tahoe will drop into neutral, speedo maxes out, tach bounces, and I hear
grinding noise at cruising speeds.  When I let off gas pedal, everything goes
back to normal.  I replaced the transfer case actuator motor and still have the
problem. Transmission seems to shift great (rebuilt a couple months ago)
